Bangladesh has made progress in development, but for millions of persons with disabilities—especially youth—opportunity remains out of reach. Too many are still denied education, decent work, healthcare, and a voice in shaping their future. National surveys show that over half of children with disabilities are out of school, while very few working-age persons with disabilities find secure jobs. Women and girls face even greater exclusion, with the highest rates of illiteracy, economic inactivity, and limited access to essential services.
